BEST FRIENDS AGAIN
WINNER'S PROCESS

The cloning process usually takes 3-6 months after receipt of DNA sample but up to one year may be required to produce your cloned puppy in certain cases. You will have 30 days after  agreeing to the service agreement to submit a tissue sample to us which will begin the process.

1) BioArts International will work with you directly to make arrangements for the customer contract, and collecting DNA from your dog. If you have already gene banked your dog’s DNA, skip to step 4. If your dog is still alive, it will be necessary to follow steps 2 & 3 below.

2) If your dog is alive, we will send you a VetKit, which you will need to take to your own veterinarian in order to collect a sample of your dog’s DNA through a humane procedure. Click here to download Biopsy Instructions.

3) Your veterinarian will be required to ship the sample to directly to our lab in South Korea (the VetKit will contain prepaid, preaddressed shipping labels). We have seen the best results when cloning from fresh rather than frozen (gene banked) cells, so we recommend this approach whenever possible.

4) Upon receipt of your cell line, we will evaluate the quality of the cells we receive by growing them in culture. As long as the cell line is viable – usually the case with both fresh and frozen cells – we expect to be able to clone your dog successfully. However, there are cases where the DNA may not be useable and cloning cannot be accomplished. If we  suspect that your animal's DNA is marginal, we will warn you of this fact and with your consent will set aside a portion of your fee as non-refundable in an addendum to the Client Agreement. If you do not agree to this, you will receive a full refund (less 10% auction fees) and we will cancel your order. If you do decide to proceed and we are unable to produce a clone the refundable portion of your payment will be refunded to you, along with a prorated portion of the interest collected during the time we held your funds.

5) Assuming the cloning is successful, then at 8 weeks of age, your clone will undergo a final health check and physical exam, and be awarded a Certificate of Health. We will notify you about your Clone approximately 8 weeks following birth, after it is weaned. We will not notify you of pregnancies in process nor births prior to weaning, except at our sole discretion. Our staff wherever they are based will not respond to requests for status reports on jobs in process.

6) Finally, arrangements will be made to deliver your new puppy to your home. You can either: (i) pick up your clone at our production facility near Seoul, Korea within 30 days of notification, or (ii) instruct BioArts to transport the clone to your designated address. If BioArts transports the clone to you at your request, you will be required to pay the costs of the delivery of the clone to you by private courier. BioArts will not transport any clones as cargo on commercial flights, only as carry-on baggage on flights and in classes that allow dogs in the passenger cabin. BioArts will seek the least expensive airfares, or will transport the dogs on a private jet should you direct us to do so. Upon receipt of your clone, you will sign a certificate of delivery, which will complete the process and trigger a release of your full deposit to BioArts.
